It's not the first time Brad Mehldau is invited to Flagey. He is one of the true pioneers in jazz today, carving his own path to carry the form forward while tapping into the energies of classical romanticism and pop mischief. His uncanny ability to take familiar phrases and transform them through compelling, long-form musical meditations has seen him draw acclaim from both aficionados and more casual listeners. During this concert, he surprises us with his own music and improvisations based on famous music pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach., he presents us his Let the Flagey Piano Days begin!
